The With The World program started by sharing a sense of task with overseas friends who have a physical body, and communication started with what they wanted to talk about, which motivated them to learn English and social issues. I felt that I could solve the problems of our school, such as creating an opportunity to reconsider. In addition, since it can be introduced as both pre-study and inquiry learning for internationalization training, we were able to secure time and money.

What has changed for the students before and after the introduction?

From the perspective of English study, the students began to think, "I want to learn English for communication, not for tests." Some students also began to focus on "what they want to communicate" after participating. From the perspective of competency, the students began to pay attention to the differences and similarities between themselves and others. Looking at the questionnaires after the program, there were many comments that viewed differences in a positive light. Furthermore, the students' impressions were generally positive, and I believe the program contributed to cultivating their self-esteem and self-efficacy.

I was worried whether our students could actively communicate with young people from other countries. After the introduction, the anxiety about communication in English seemed to have been dispelled, and there were many voices requesting a re-challenge.
