In the process of coming up with their proposals, the students conducted interviews at local supermarkets and prepared for local product sales events, including creating flyers. At the end of the trip, each group held a sales event for local people, using the flyers they had created, and also gave presentations in English to the presidents of each company.

〇 Online exchange was held as a follow-up training for the school trip

On November 7th and 14th, students participated in an online international exchange with Taiwanese students, building on what they learned on their school trip. Aiming to deepen their awareness and learning through their cross-cultural experiences on the Bali school trip, the online exchange with students from overseas took place. In the exchange class held on November 7th, students conducted interviews and communicated in English, building on the awareness of different cultures and values they gained on the school trip. On November 14th, an international exchange was held on the theme of the appeal of Japan, with the aim of reflecting on their own country's culture upon returning home. There were moments when the students had fun talking about their favorite anime, and we hope that by spending time talking about common topics with students of the same age, they were able to gain a new appreciation for Taiwanese culture, as well as the connections Japan has with various countries around the world, in addition to the Indonesia they visited.

Through the school trip and follow-up learning, students visit overseas and interact with companies and local people, developing the ability to proactively solve problems even in situations with different cultures and languages, and aiming to continue their learning after returning home.

Furthermore, based on what they learned on the company exploration school trip and follow-up learning, an online program (SMBC Presents "International Exchange for the Future") was held in November in which students from Josho Gakuen High School discussed SDG 12, "Responsible Consumption and Production," with students from overseas. Details of the program will be introduced in the next feature!
