Fukushima Prefectural Asaka Kaisei High School's school website introduced the ``2nd World Joint Presentation''.
In the article, it is stated that three students from the same school participated in the global joint presentation sponsored by our company, With The World, which was held in February 2024.
World joint presentation TheThis is an online presentation competition where students from all over the world participate.
Participating students will be required to conduct preliminary study and research on themes such as familiar social issues, and present their results in an English presentation. There is also time for group discussions, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the research topic while sharing diverse perspectives with students of the same generation around the world. We aim to develop a sense of ownership in social issues and problem-solving skills through the experience of not only ``knowing'' familiar problems, but also actually thinking of concrete solutions and brushing up on them.
Think of a system that can solve the problems around you within 5 years.
The theme of the second conference in 2 is “Let's think of a system that can solve the problems around us within 5 years.”. In addition to the 16 teams from Japan who made it through the preliminary rounds, there are 13 other countries around the world that have ties to With The World: diverse regions (Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Students from Romania and Kazakhstan participated.
The students of Asaka Kaisei High School researched the toilet situation in Egypt, came up with a product that could solve the problem, and gave a presentation. Since October last year, we have been collaborating with TOTO Corporation and collaborating with Taiwanese students to gather information through five online meetings and interviews with people living in Egypt. They rehearsed and revised the slides until just before the presentation, and then went into the actual presentation.
``Unfortunately, we did not win the ``Corporate Collaboration Program,'' but I could see the refreshing smiles and confidence on the faces of the students who accomplished one big mission. ”
``Mr. Sasaki, a university staff member who always accompanied the students with kindness and compassion, and Mr. Sayaka, who always gave careful consideration, communication, and words of encouragement, and all the other staff members of With the world. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Taiwanese students and school teachers who took part in this project. thank you very much. ”
