When I was a university student, getting inspired by one of the Japanese activists working on education and by the advertisement on the train, I visited the Philippines to see the activist. In order to see the activist, I moved around many places in the Philippines and taught tennis and manners to approximately 100 local children as a private tennis coach. By using SNS, I had collected pieces of tennis equipment, including 120 tennis rackets. Through this charity activity, I realized the issue of a lack of education there, but at the same time, I found the children’s potentiality and motivation for learning. Currently, while I am working to solve this educational issue, I am also creating opportunities for youth to learn about social phenomena. As the first step, I came up with this project and started With The World in 2018 to carry out my project between Indonesia and Japan.
While a university student, she worked as a volunteer guide for foreign visitors to Japan in Kyoto. Although we only met once for a few hours, we not only shared Japanese culture, but also had the fun of learning about a country and culture that we had never known before, and even though our languages and cultures were different, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery together. It was a great joy to be able to laugh with each other. After graduating from university, he worked at a domestic hotel owned by a foreign hotel chain. She gained experience working as a concierge and front desk, learned about global standard hospitality, and provided services. After joining With The World, she will be responsible for planning and managing international exchange programs, as well as developing and promoting schools participating in the program overseas. The With The World program not only broadens my horizons and values, but I also feel that it is an opportunity for me to face my home country and myself anew through interaction with people of my generation living overseas. We connect schools around the world and provide learning opportunities to many children.
Domestic/overseas itinerary manager (tour conductor) qualification holder. Responsible for planning, administration, and facilitation of PBL-type programs and cross-cultural leadership training for middle school, high school, and university students. Prior to joining With The World, she was involved in web service and media management that connects Japan and overseas, and also taught at a major English conversation school. She also volunteers as a facilitator for nature classes for elementary and middle school students and for cross-cultural education organizations in Hong Kong. She is a member of the Japan Society for Educational Technology. From online learning to offline learning, including overseas training, we provide learning that improves abilities according to each student's situation!
Birthplace: Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture Currently working in Tokyo
When she was in the fourth grade of elementary school, she became interested in English and foreign countries after meeting an American woman. During her college years, she studied abroad at an American university, which was her dream. After graduating from university, she taught at a public junior high school as an English teacher and a Japanese teacher, and is currently working in the educational design department of With The World.
While working at a junior high school, I felt that I wanted to create opportunities for my students to get first-hand information from people overseas, and when I was a Japanese language teacher, I felt that it was interesting to see the difference between the ``normal'' and ``natural'' international students unfolding right in front of my eyes. The connection led to the present day.
After graduating from university, he worked as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer at a public elementary school in Zambia, Africa. His conventional wisdom was overturned, and he felt a great sense of fulfillment in his days filled with joy, anger, and sadness. After that, he became involved in alternative education in Japan and a public elementary school in New Zealand, with the keyword "diversity", and encountered various ways of thinking. He also taught at a public elementary school in Japan and was drawn to the appeal of education. After experiencing this, I realized that ``ideas that click, ideas that click, and encountering various values enrich people's lives.''Through online, I have taught many people about the breadth of the world. I am active because I want people to find joy and find a place to belong.
I always dreamed of myself traveling the world. After graduating from junior college, he attended a travel industry vocational school, studied abroad in Australia for a short period of time, obtained qualifications in geography, English, etc., including domestic and general travel business management, and got a job at a major travel agency.
While helping many people go abroad, he has also visited many countries and regions himself. I learned the joy of interacting with local people and the importance and wonder of experiencing different cultures.
Even after leaving his job at a travel agency, he joined With The World because he wanted the next generation of students to see the world and have as many experiences as possible.
I hope I can help create a wonderful learning opportunity.
During my homestay experience in Canada during my junior high school years, I became interested in lifestyles, cultures and languages different from those in Japan, and wanted to connect with people from around the world. I majored in English at university, and after graduating, I traveled abroad on my own to meet and interact with people from various countries.
While studying abroad, I learned how to teach English to children, and after returning to Japan, I taught English to children at an English conversation school.
I want children to not only study in their textbooks, but also to look at the world more! I joined With The World because I wanted to provide such a learning environment. I want them to connect with the world through intercultural exchange and feel lots of excitement.
Originally from Thailand, I studied at a high school in Japan from 2008, and majored in cross-cultural management at university and graduate school.
I studied issues related to intercultural understanding and international integration, and after graduating I worked for seven years in a government agency in my native Thailand, where I provided trade support to many companies.
Even after retiring, she wants to continue working in a job that supports others, and she would like to share with others the charm and learnings she felt during her time living abroad.
Currently, through our With The World activities, we are bringing the joy of international exchange to children all over the world.
During my student days, I volunteered at a facility in Ukraine and Russia that supported orphans and families affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident. I was able to see the smiles of many children there, which sparked my interest in children's education.
After graduating, she worked at a children's English conversation school and an international school for around 17 years, where she came to realise the power and importance of education while working with children from diverse backgrounds.
Even today, there are many children in the world who need an education. We work every day to help these children experience the joy and pleasure of learning, and to provide an education that will develop the "power to live" that will allow them to live life independently.
During university, I studied abroad in Australia, where I experienced a multicultural environment that greatly broadened my values.
After graduating from university, she worked in sales in the real estate industry, hoping to work in a position that would help people's lives. After getting married, she switched to the education industry, and worked as an English teacher in various locations following her husband's job transfers.
Having experienced regional differences while working as a teacher, she joined With The World with the desire to create a society where children can have opportunities for international exchange regardless of where they live, and to have them experience many rich encounters.
To achieve this goal, we are working on activities to support exchanges.
During my student years, I lived in the United States for three years due to my father's job transfer.
Surrounded by people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, I learned the joy and fascination of encountering different values.
After graduating from university, I joined a hotel. After gaining on-the-job experience, I worked in the human resources department, primarily handling new employee training, hierarchical training, and language training.
Having been involved in international events such as the G7 and the Osaka-Kansai Expo, I've come to appreciate the joy of interacting with people from various countries even more.
After that, she worked as a Japanese language teacher's assistant at a high school in Indonesia.
My learning experiences and stimulating lifestyle in overseas educational settings have made me strongly desire to provide more students with opportunities for international exchange.
To realize a society and world overflowing with diverse values, I want to convey to students around the world the joy of communicating in English, the joy of connecting with the world, and the fascinating nature of various ideas and values.
During her university years, she studied abroad in the United States, where she experienced different cultures and values and realized the potential of international exchange. After returning to Japan, she worked as an English teacher and bilingual childcare worker, educating preschool and elementary school children. She realized the importance of creating an environment where children can feel safe and challenge themselves, and the importance of encouraging them, while being attentive to their individuality and development. She learned that the way adults interact greatly influences a child's initiative and the quality of their learning. Having been exposed to overseas educational perspectives such as the Reggio Emilia approach, she joined the company with the desire to expand the possibilities of education in Japan. Currently, she works as an educational program creator and facilitator.
We cherish the idea that "children are exchange students from the future."
Growing up in a rural area of Tohoku with parents who were high school teachers, the concept of "international exchange" seemed like something far removed from my own, yet it held a powerful allure for me. As an adult, I worked for an education-related company, supporting students studying abroad and pursuing higher education overseas, essentially being on the "sending side" to overseas destinations. Later, I moved to the United States with my family. While in the U.S., I worked at an English language school affiliated with a university, supporting international students from various countries. This time, I became the "receiving side" of international students overseas. From my experience supporting international students from diverse countries and backgrounds, I strongly believe that "international exchange/cross-border experiences are valuable for everyone." Through our company's (With The World) programs, I hope to provide an opportunity for people to experience the wonders of international exchange and reflect on diversity and self-understanding.

The world is still facing various social problems, and their effects are being directed towards us and future generations.
Anyone around the world can take classes where they can engage in in-depth discussions in English with peers from diverse countries.
We will steadily move forward with the goal of creating this kind of school environment.
And I hope that one day, young leaders will emerge who can build strong cooperative relationships between countries, and that this will lead to as many young people as possible taking on the task of solving social problems.
We hope this program will be helpful in supporting your efforts to "create new value" and "deep learning."

While attending college, he belonged to the athletic club tennis club, and spent most of his student days on the tennis court. After retiring from club activities, he was inspired by the Japanese who were conducting educational activities on the TV program that was being broadcast, and visited the Philippines to hear the story. As an individual tennis coach, we solicit donations of necessary tools such as about 100 rackets on SNS, and teach about 120 children with etiquette. While learning that children who cannot go to school are well-remembered and have a strong desire to learn seriously, they learn that there are many local children who do not know much about the slum situation. After graduating from university, he joined a major human resources company and participated in the launch of six new businesses. After that, he founded With The World Co., Ltd. We are developing a platform service where schools around the world discuss one social theme and learn together, regardless of location, distance, or religion, in order to provide an opportunity to reconsider the social issues of their own country and locality while learning about the current state of the world. <Patented>. Currently, taking advantage of the connections of more than 330 schools in 54 countries around the world, classes are conducted by connecting Japanese and overseas educational institutions (elementary, junior high, high school, university, etc.).
We are sharing Shunta Igarashi's entrepreneurial story and the latest information.

If educational institutions could incorporate opportunities for young people to proactively learn about what kinds of problems are occurring in Japan and overseas, why they are happening, and what actions are needed, many young people would be able to feel a closer connection to social issues.
When I was a university student, I saw an advertisement on the train that raised awareness about poverty.
Having grown up in safe Japan, that information was shocking to me, so I decided to see for myself. I solicited tennis equipment through social media and traveled to Southeast Asia as a tennis coach.
Over the course of about five months, traveling around various places, talking to local people, and seeing and experiencing the actual situation firsthand provided me with invaluable, firsthand information that I will cherish for a lifetime. I also realized that there is a different kind of learning to be gained from this than from textbooks.
"What can we do?"
Since that day, those words have been stuck in my head.
I started the "Online International Exchange Program" because of this personal experience.
