・Current situation in India

Although India has achieved such remarkable economic growth, some people may feel uncomfortable about this.

"But even though India is so economically wealthy, it has an image of poverty."

That's right.

Although India is showing economic growth, there is actually a disparity between urban and rural areas.

In India, while the number of people in the relatively wealthy middle class is increasing due to economic development, there are many people in the low income bracket in rural areas.Further disparity between rich and poorhas become a problem.

One such example is Sujata village, which you can visit on this study tour.

・About Sujata Village

Sujata Village is famous for the story of a woman who shared milk porridge with Buddha before he attained enlightenment, saving his life, and is a sacred place for Buddhism, known only to those in the know.

While it has such a history, Sujata villageAreas with low literacy rates in IndiaIt is also.

While in urban areas it is common for children to receive English education from kindergarten to university and attend cram schools or preparatory schools, there are many children in Sujata village who do not receive a sufficient education.

Children are unable to attend school for a variety of reasons, including poor quality of education such as teachers not coming to school, textbooks not being distributed, and poverty. In this way, behind India's remarkable economic growth, there are issues that must be faced.

So this time, I would like everyone to come into contact with real India through India On Star, and think together about these issues that India faces.
