Introduction of articles published in the media

The Minami-Nippon Shimbun published an online exchange event held on July 7 at Yokogawa Junior High School in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. This time, 3 third-year students from the same junior high school interacted online with high school students from An Giang province in southern Vietnam. In each group, they talked about differences in daily life and events in English, deepening their understanding of different cultures.

We challenged ourselves to discover commonalities between the other groups through conversations such as "Do you have a pet?" and "Have you ever listened to Japanese music?"

After that, we introduced the cultures of both countries, such as "New Year's customs" and "popular foods among young people."

A Vietnamese student taught me a big Chimaki called "Bai Chung" which is eaten during the Lunar New Year (Tet)!

After conducting several online international exchanges, the students will travel to Vietnam to deepen face-to-face exchanges with overseas students.

Global human resource development sponsored by Kagoshima Prefectural GovernmentJewelry business

This program is part of the global human resource development project sponsored by the Kagoshima Prefectural Government, and aims to improve communication skills in English and international awareness for students from 18 schools in the prefecture. After the online exchange, there is an opportunity to actually visit the overseas school and meet and interact. This program is expected to further enhance learning by allowing students to experience cultural diversity, international sensibilities, and differences in values.

With The World

WithTheWorld has conducted online international exchange classes at more than 60 schools in 410 countries so far, and uses ICT tools to conduct international exchanges in English with overseas students of the same generation.

We offer programs that allow students to deepen their understanding of social issues in both countries while learning about each other's cultures and ways of thinking through communication in English.

We can also expect to produce “global leaders” who will create a peaceful world in the future.

It would be a great honor for all of us at With The World if the experience gained from this program leads to the confidence of each and every one of the 18 participating schools in Kagoshima Prefecture, including Yokogawa Junior High School.
