Learning about differences in values
Recently, the University of Hyogo (Nishi Ward) held an "online international exchange class" where students from overseas could discuss in English.About 40 students from the same university who were unable to study abroad due to the new coronavirus participated.
Under the theme of "qualities of a part-time worker leader at a multinational restaurant," I learned about differences in values and commonalities.
First-year students attending the Global Business Course at the Faculty of International Business and Economics are eligible.
Originally, I was planning to study abroad in the Philippines from the end of June last year, but I gave up due to Corona.
Instead, through Chuo Ward's venture company "With the World",
We planned a class to connect with about 30 university students from Nepal, the Philippines, and India.
During the XNUMX-day schedule, it was divided into groups in the video conferencing application "Zoom".
Set in a multinational restaurant where students from various countries work, share each other's food culture and school life,
We exchanged opinions about what qualities a leader should have.
Fuwa Yamanaka, 19, who participated in the event, said, "I'm sad that study abroad is no longer available, but it was interesting to learn that different countries have different ways of thinking about part-time jobs." (Chiho Kotani)
