What are sister cities?

Do you know if your area has a sister city relationship? All regions of Japan and overseas local governments have concluded sister city agreements for the purpose of cultural exchange and goodwill. Among them, Sennan City in Osaka Prefecture has concluded a sister city agreement with Davao City in the Philippines.

This time, in order to further deepen friendship as a sister city, the city board of education was working to create a place for cross-cultural exchange for children living in each other's area, and in collaboration with our company, we started an online international exchange class. I had you do it.

The class was featured on the sennan city hp, so I'd like to introduce it to you! ↓

Efforts of Sennan City

Sennan City is a city that is very focused on cross-cultural exchange, with multicultural classes being held by the local Philippine International Relations Coordinator for its sister city.

This time, Sennan City Narutaki Elementary School 6th graders, Ichioka Elementary School 6th graders, and Ichioka Junior High School 3rd graders participated in our online international exchange class. The content of the local introduction is different from daily conversation and has a high degree of difficultyIt is an opportunity to use English, but by introducing the local Sennan city to the students in Davao City, the students will also be able to learn more about the local area.In recent years, due to the influence of globalization, elementary, junior high and high school students are actively working on English learning, and it is becoming important to come into contact with different cultures.

In this program, by introducing each other about the region where they live, they will listen to presentations about Davao City, deepen their understanding of the sister city, and deepen their friendship. In this way, international exchange took full advantage of the sister city agreement.
