“Experience of taking actions boosted my interest in social issues”
　

I organized a donation activity through planning, making posters, making some announcements, and more to capture students’ attention. This experience taught me how I could show my enthusiasm to others to inspire them. My experience of taking action boosted my interest in social issues more than listening to classroom lectures did and made me realize initiating action was fun. I’ve become more positive about taking action.

In the beginning, I was not very willing to speak in English or initiate actions because I was not confident about myself and I avoided making an effort. However, as I started thinking positively, I realized that there was nothing difficult and that someone would always encourage me with positive compliments even if I didn’t have enough confidence. The change in my mindset empowered me a lot. Throughout this program, I learned so many things, which gave me confidence. Now I like to challenge myself with something new and something that I’m not very confident about.
