Volunteers from 67 countries will gather at the World Presentation Conference 2024
World Presentation: Young people's challenge to create a "peaceful" future
Our world is currently facing many challenges. Global social issues such as poverty, environmental destruction, and human rights issues, as well as domestic issues such as inequality and lack of educational opportunities. There are also crises that threaten people's lives, such as natural disasters and wars. How are students around the world confronting these complex problems, and what solutions are they trying to create?
The Global Joint Presentation is a presentation competition in which junior and senior high school students from around the world, transcending national and cultural boundaries, take these everyday issues as their theme and delve deeply into social issues from their own perspectives, presenting systems that can be used to solve them within five years.
This conference is being held once a year by our company since 2022, with the aim of cultivating the foundation for creating a "peaceful" world as fellow citizens living on the same planet through interactions with people of the same age from all over the world. Participants will improve their practical English skills and communication skills, as well as share the results of their inquiry-based learning on each social issue with the world and exchange opinions.
By interacting with students across nationalities and cultures through presentations, we aim to develop a multifaceted perspective, the knowledge and experience required to become global leaders who can lead the world in a better direction, and the ability to respect one another.
Point explanation! The appeal of a global joint presentation
① As the culmination of a year of research
Students will present to the world themes that are familiar to them and that they have been exploring throughout the year at school. At the 2024 competition, students from around the world gave presentations on a variety of topics, including "carcinogenicity" and "VR." Students from each country will raise issues from a variety of perspectives and deepen their understanding of issues not only in their own country but also around the world.
② Devise solutions to global problems
In this competition, participants consider mechanisms that can solve ``problems around us'' presented from a variety of perspectives within five years. A variety of solutions were presented, including working with local communities.
③ Feedback from peers around the world
Many students seem to have gained confidence from receiving sympathy and encouragement from students around the world for their ideas. In addition, there are awards for each category, and the students' expressions show their desire to be chosen by their country or team, and they are nervous at the awards ceremony.

To solve Ghana's problem of inadequate waste disposal, solutions such as raising local people's environmental awareness and encouraging them to participate in environmental activities were proposed.
Feedback from students who participated this year
Voices of Japanese students
・Until now, I have thought that environmental issues are the most serious problems in the world, but I have never really thought about other social issues in detail. Therefore, I think this presentation was a good opportunity for me to think about issues such as discrimination, animal protection, and respect for the individual.
・By participating in the Global Joint Presentation, I think we were able to face various problems that are occurring all over the world. I am very happy that I was able to take action to solve problems that I had only learned about in school classes until now. I am also proud that we ourselves were able to contribute to solving the problems.
・It was a valuable experience to have the opportunity to interact with people from various countries who I don't usually have much contact with. The content of presentation was very diverse and I was able to gain new knowledge and perspective. I would like to utilize the skills that I gained through this experience in my future life.

Voices of international students
・The competition event is very well organized. It is a great idea to put school in Blocks so that students can observe others and learn from one another, and remain attentive within them.

・I learned that there are many ideas and ways to solve ongoing issues. I also learned more about problems that have not been solved yet. So I enjoyed my time participating in this event a lot. Also I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to meet other people around the world and work together with them to change the world. I also thank WTW organization who create this program so that people can have the chance to present their wishes and connect with others.

Our dream with the world
The purpose of the World Joint Presentation Conference is to provide a place where anyone living in the world can express their thoughts and opinions to the world. At this competition, each team will give a presentation on the issues they have been exploring to date, with the theme of ``Think of a system that can solve the problems around you within five years.'' Many teams are participating to present the results of their research over the past year.
Through this program, we will learn about the world and have the experience of thinking collaboratively about our future, which is also our vision.“Make Tomorrow Brighter”The Global Joint Presentation was born from the desire to "create a stage where anyone from around the world can participate, regardless of their background, and be in the spotlight." For some students, the experience of connecting with peers from around the world and sharing their thoughts was an invaluable experience.
This will be the second time the conference is held in 2024, and every time, I feel the energy and power of the participants in their presentations, and I am convinced that the future will be bright and that tomorrow will be a brighter world. There may still be many problems in the world right now. It is the younger generation who will find the clues to solving each of these problems, build a daily life where all people can feel happy, and lead the way! Presenting at the global joint presentation is not the final goal, but we hope that the children will put the solutions they have thought up into action and become leaders who are active on the world stage. To that end, we at With The World will continue to deliver the joy of international exchange all over the world so that we can steadily expand this circle. We will continue to be With The World, ``delivering education to the ends of the earth.''
