We donated computers to bring education to Zambia!

2025.4.1
#Study Tours Abroad

Zambia is a naturally rich country located in southern Africa. With its kind and generous people, Zambia has maintained stability and peace since its independence in 1964. However, there are still issues that need to be resolved, such as street children, HIV, and orphans. With the World is carrying out various activities to support Zambia. In this article, we will introduce the main activities of our Zambia.

1. Introduction of activities to Zambia

Our company, With The World, has donated several computers to the certified NPO Foundation Stone Orphanage to provide education to children in Zambia.

The computers were donated by U-Link Co., Ltd. with the goal of contributing to children's ICT education and the hope that it will lead to a brighter future for children.

"We have been given the vision of sending our students to study abroad at universities in France in the future. To that end, we will begin further ICT and French language education, so this will be the driving force behind that!" "Now that the dream of slum children flying out into the world is within reach, it will motivate us to work even harder!"

"(As of today, I have started classes using the donated PCs. Thank you very much."

We received warm messages from students saying the same thing and also received reports that they have already started incorporating the ideas into their classes.

In addition to donating computers, With The World also

・Part of the participation fee for online study tours will be donated

・Donations for school construction

We provide support to Zambia in a variety of ways.

2. About the Online Study Tour

On the Zambia online study tour, you can learn about the real situation on the ground through intercultural exchange and dialogue with children in various circumstances in Zambia.

In addition to the cultural exchange, the program also includes watching a video introducing the orphanage, asking questions to Zambian children, and interviewing graduates. The cultural exchange provides many opportunities to learn about each other's dreams and the need for education.

There will also be a panel discussion with Ms. Sakurako Mutare, the representative of Cornerstone of Hope Zambia, who has been providing support in Zambia for over 20 years. There will also be a Q&A session with Ms. Mutare, where you can further deepen your understanding of Zambia and ask her how to play an active role in the international community in the future.

The participating students made the following comments:

・Education is something that is familiar to us, but it is valuable to people in other regions. In the future, I want to become someone who can support people who need support.

・The words "I was able to share in this fleeting moment of happiness" really stuck with me. I learned that happiness is not something to be taken for granted.

・I learned about the wonderful enthusiasm of the children who received support and worked hard at their studies.

Interacting with the Zambian people, who live in a region far from Japan and with a vastly different culture and living environment, is having a major impact on the students' future plans and way of thinking.
